The Reducers and Traducers of America are frothing. As usual.

One of the things that continually bemuses me - I am no longer surprised by the depth of banality the "Right" seems to go - is how trivial the Tea Party Right is. And racist.

American Strong. Ignorant "Americanism".
Brought to you by White Supremacists
and The Tea Party

I know all about the racism; it was prevalent in 1980's England as people emigrated there (it's still there, by the way). I hated it then, and I despise it now. The silly patriotism, the humdrum "logic", the bigoted anger. There's no pride in such gangs, only hate and violence.

Did I mention how trivial the Tea Party Right can be?
The triviality of the Tea Party is equally as banal. It's a general ignorance that allows ridiculous claims - such as President Obama's trip to India costing $200M a day! - to prosper and, astoundingly, be believed! It's the fuel for The Birthers and The Truthers. It's illiterate, willfully uninformed outrage masquerading as seriousness.

Indeed...
Guess who like this one? Those who hate to be criticized
When there are real issues, and manufactured idiocies to deal with - the Tea Party Right goes on an unprincipled, unfounded, rant about Michelle's "vacations". They wrap their racial animosity in patriotism and demand the right to not be criticized. They froth and bluster because they don't care to know what the issues really are, nor how the policies that lead to a "fiscal cliff" were enacted. As long as they have a liberal to blame, an imagined slight to fulminate over and a trough that feeds their deepest fears - they are happy.

All I can say is: I'm mighty glad these Reducers and Traducers of America did not win the election.

Miserable attempts at insult, self-pity and whiny sniveling isn't. There are other blogs that specialize in, and relish, that sort of pedantry.
