Oh wait - that happened already!

This just in... Idiots from around the nation - all 50 states - want to secede from these here rapidly Untying States. You know what would be a Great Idea? Besides migrating to Canada or Australia? If all of these States got together and... Wait for it... Voted for a leader!

Wouldn't that be neat? They could call it the United States of Amercia.

  1. The day after the election, some Fox TV station in the Heartland gave driving instructions for those wishing to flee to Canada to escape from socialism (the stupid... it hurts!)

And of course, there are those who said they would flee to Australia. Something about the Australian president not being socialist? Once, again, people must have eaten a big bowl of stupid for breakfast.

Ah, but the secession movement! Initially it was only something like 20 states (my home state being one of them, which made me wonder if I might become an illegal immigrant in California), but then when I went to the White House site to investigate, I found petitions for all 50 states. Some states even had 2 petitions! There were also petitions asking the president to strip the citizenship of those signing the secession petitions and peaceably deporting them (since after all, they don't want to be here anyway).

Today I saw a photo of a group of Tea Party people holding big letters to spell SECEDE, except that they proved once again that Tea Party folks can't spell.

Really, I don't think I've seen sour grapes anything like this election. I know what it's all about though. I grew up in Gary, Indiana. In 1967, the voters elected Richard Hatcher, Gary's first African-American mayor. That began an era called "the White Flight". Many white people sold their homes, sometimes at a fraction of the home's value, and moved to surrounding communities. Property values dropped like a rock and never recovered. Things spiraled downward until Gary nearly died. White people blamed it on the blacks, seemingly oblivious to the fact that it was they (the whites) who created the problem. I see a very similar reaction to President Obama... and after he was re-elected, it got even worse. They would rather see our entire nation fall before allowing a non-white president to succeed. It's ugly and I don't like it.

  2. I didn't know about the petition to deport the secessionists! I like that one! :-)

Yeah, we had white flight in Britain, too. I don't think it was as bad as here - it's a lot smaller a nation after all! - but it was pretty bad for awhile there. I do think a lot of the anti-Obama sentiment is racially based; not all of it, but much of it.

Did you see the article about the Georgian politician getting a briefing about the Prez's mind control efforts? It's here: http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2012/11/georgia-senate-gets-52-minute-briefing-united-nations-takeover

Sometimes you really rely on the nation being so much more than some of its citizens.

Miserable attempts at insult, self-pity and whiny sniveling isn't. There are other blogs that specialize in, and relish, that sort of pedantry.
