Zee shell. No, that's not a bad accent, that's its name.

After a zillion years of never quite figuring out bsh, the Bash shell - a command line for unix, a bit like the old "C:\>" prompt, but actually useful - I've decided to switch to Zsh, z-shell. It's pronounced zee-shell because Americans don't know how to say zed. ... :-)

This chap seems to be rather keen on it. Or at least he was in 2007. And, after successfully ignoring Zsh since time began, Ryan Bates' screencast on the thing finally persuaded me to try it. I'll try to remember to let you know how it all works out. Because I know you're anxious to know how it goes with some obscure bit of OS X... :-)
