Yeah, I'd say he's happy to be the beneficiary of that homophobia

Representative Randy Baumgardner* is in a state-level primary race with Senator Jean White in Colorado (you have to look hard to figure out she's Republican; in fact, both of them are.) Mr Baumgardner apparently won the battle. And he did with outside help and strong dose of bigotry. A "hold your nose this is gonna reek" dose of bigotry.

*I tried linking to his campaign site, but it's returning "not found" errors.

The problem, you see, is that Ms White has a gay nephew and a lesbian niece. So the Virginia based hate group Public Advocate of the United States ran some ads. One of which used a photoshopped version of a chap kissing his new hubbie. ... Except the picture had New York City as a backdrop and Mr Baumgardner's version had Rocky Mountain High instead.

That, that is despicable. It was unwarranted and mean. I won't even mention being homophobic - that's so obvious, as is the intention to stir homophobic sentiments in enough voters.

Shame on Randy Baumgardner for not standing up to that hate group. Shame on the GOP voters in Colorado's 8th district. And shame on the homophobic, busy-body pettiness of the hate group "Public Advocate". They advocate hate; Mr Baumgardner seems to be happy enough to be beneficiary of that hate.

Miserable attempts at insult, self-pity and whiny sniveling isn't. There are other blogs that specialize in, and relish, that sort of pedantry.
