You know, I actually believe this guy.
Forbes has a story, "This Is What Happens When A Billionaire Tries To Get On A Plane With $1 Million Cash In His Luggage"
Basically, a billionaire supermarket mogul from South Africa tried to get on a plane at Heathrow in London with $1,000,000 cash in his suitcase(s). Customs figured it must be the proceeds of a crime, a judge agreed and they confiscated the lot. Now he's suing to get it back, saying that he held the money in a safe deposit box at The Ritz because of draconian money-export/import laws in South Africa.
He wants his money back. Because it represents something like 2 weeks of wages to him.
