Wow. The hue and cry from the weekend seems to have finally moved on. Like a swarm of locusts, the vitriol and anger spewed forth. And then, with a flick of a switch somewhere, everyone moved on!
Scary.
That level of coordination is very scary! :-)
I was surprised at Jillian Page - I really thought she was above cheap shots (especially if they have nowhere to land), and bemused by the rest. What really interested me was how coordinated all those people were. At first I thought it was down to some sort of herd mentality, and indeed I think it was. But when it just vanished? I was quite perturbed. Surely there were a few late comers to the party? Nope. Not a one. A flurry of blog posts over on Gender Reality and it's like a signal, a moth to a flame.
It reminded a little of past fracas, but this time the coordination was uncanny. I can't get over it. Really! I've never seen that level of coordinated anger and its disappearance in anything except far right political organizations.
A number of transsexual women claim there's a Transgender Borg, which is a bit like arguing that the Democratic Party is coherent. As Will Rogers once said "“I'm not a member of any organized party, I'm a Democrat.” Well, the transgender community is like that, not organized. There are all sorts of transgender people out there; so many it's silly to even try and categorize them as one coherent political force. But, increasingly, I'm seeing coherence from the Transsexual Separatist folk. Nothing I can point to, as yet, just a feeling that there's a lot more coordination going on that there would, or should, be normally.
So while I can categorically state that a Transgender Borg can't exist, I can increasingly see evidence that there might be a Transsexual Separatist Borg emerging. Resistance isn't futile, but it will funny.

Miserable attempts at insult, self-pity and whiny sniveling isn't. There are other blogs that specialize in, and relish, that sort of pedantry.
